KaraWearable 2024
After a 20 year hiatus, in 2023 Karamea’s wearable arts scene exploded onto the Old Karamea Hardware stage, wowing the audience of over 200 locals. Inspired by the creativity, the vision and the sagging Hardware floor, we realised we needed a bigger venue to hold the sheer volume of magic and community enthusiasm.
As anyone who has ever had a shed or a wardrobe knows, the bigger the space the more you will fill it - and so it is that this year we will cram an even bigger, even more inspirational show into the Karamea Pulse Energy Centre/ Karamea School Hall.
This year’s show will bring the magic of theatre to the catwalk, with a dream-like narrative weaving together the show’s themes of Myths and Legends, Made from Nature, and Upcycled/Recycled.
Come one, come all; to create, to share, to learn, to inspire, to support.
