Professional assistance - Helpful librarians are available at all times to assist you with your information needs.

Resources - Quality collections of more than 31 000 items including popular and non-fiction books for all ages and DVDS. A wide range of magazines are also available at all libraries.

Recreational reading - explore our continiously growing collection of latest novels, bestsellers, classics and entertaining fiction. We are happy to give advice for a good read – for children, teens and adults.

Heritage, local history collections and archives - Comprehensive selection of local history and Buller material which supports in-depth history enquiries. Access to Buller District Council archives.

Reference & research - Extensive and easy to access range of resources including newspapers, dictionaries, maps, phone directories, electoral rolls, encyclopaedia, and much more. Also access to electronic journals online.

Free Internet access - Available at all libraries through the Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa. Sessions are free, but may be limited to 30mins if other people are waiting.

Wireless Internet access – Bring your own laptop or wifi enabled device to access Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa

Community services - Public notice board and petition displays. Rotating collections provided to volunteered community libraries in Granity, Inangahua, Karamea, Maruia and Seddonville

Meeting room to hire – we can cater for small group meetings and lectures for a small hire fee

Interloan services – Items can be ordered between each branch. Books not available in our libraries can be ordered through national interloan service.

Photocopying - Black & white and colour photocopying and Laminating (Westport only)

A3 Flatbed Scanner – scan onto your own memory stick or one of our PC’s

Video Magnifier – Vision impaired can use our video magnifier to read newspapers, books, letters or even enlarge photos

Website - Offers services such as searching the web catalogue. Make use of free electronic databases for library members and check out the latest library newsletters and events. Download ebooks or audio books free onto your mobile device. 24/7 Web catalogue - View lists of new items in our collections, search our online catalogue from the comfort of your home and reserve the items you want. School holiday activities – Summer Reading programme and Winter Warmers are fantastic opportunities to keep reading during the long holidays.

Kids, kids, kids - It’s fun to read to a baby! We have a wide selection of board books, picture books, children stories, factual books, Audio CDS and Children DVDS for your child. Our library is a welcoming place to introduce your child to the world of books and reading.
