We are just over one month away from our eagerly awaited December exhibition, "With Love from Karamea 2.0," scheduled for December 2nd and 3rd, 2023. Have you begun work on your artworks for the event?
Recently, I've come to realize the significance of maintaining focus in our creative journey. Often, we find ourselves concentrating on the wrong aspects, such as self-doubt, concerns about selling our art, or doubts about its appeal. These are examples of misplaced focus.
Instead, I encourage you to shift your focus towards the myriad opportunities this exhibition presents. It's a chance for your artistic talents to shine, an opportunity to be part of a community gallery where everyone has a platform to showcase their creations to a guaranteed audience, including potential buyers.
Our inaugural "With Love from Karamea" exhibition was a resounding success, with 217 visitors and a remarkable 80 artworks sold. The opportunity is here for the taking, and the door is wide open to all artists and creators.
Registration for the exhibition is now open. To submit your artwork for the show, please email our curator, Sanae Murray, at karameagallery@gmail.com.
The registration deadline is 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 30.
[Weekend Schedule]
- November 30, Thursday: Last day for registration.
- December 1, Friday: Artwork drop-off from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Old Karamea Hardware Store gallery.
- December 2, Saturday: The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- December 3, Sunday: Gallery open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (*Artists and buyers can retrieve their works or purchased items after 4 p.m.)
We are actively seeking volunteers to assist in setting up the gallery and managing the exhibitions. Volunteering offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on gallery experience, connect with local artists and residents, and support our artistic community.
