UPDATE: Progress made regarding the EECA Warmer Homes initiative.

It looks like we'll get an assessor here from Nelson approximately June 10-13. If you haven't already PLEASE send me your address for potential assessment. As there's some logistics with getting the assessor here for a few days straight and then the installers and all the gear later who will do the work over a solid week or two, the dates we sort out are your opportunity - don't miss out or wait for 'another time'.
This is open to EVERYONE. If the home you own and live in was built prior to 2008, you may be eligible for warmer kiwi homes grant to cover the cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation and heating in the main living area.
Email me now with your address and phone number as I'm finalising list with EECA tomorrow:

In case you missed the earlier post - details:
An opportunity through Development West Coast / EECA.
The west coast housing forum has been working with EECA on the Warmer Kiwi homes initiative. Karamea has been identified as an area where they could make positive impact.

Are you worried about the increase in your winter power bills and wondering what you can do to improve the energy efficiency of your home? Is your fire past its use by date, or are you over lugging wood and coal and thinking of switching to a heat pump? Is living in a house that is too hot in summer and cold and damp in winter affecting your health?

Please email me expressing interest for an assessment with your address and phone number: karameacommunity@gmail.com
