About the Tutor: Rere-o-maki (Rea) May, has recently moved to Charleston, and is from Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Tuwharetoa, Te Atihaunui-A-Paparangi and Ngati Kahungunu Iwi. Te Reo is Rea‟s second language, and through her own learning she has been a Kaiako for Mauri Ora through Te Wananga o Aotearoa, and has completed extensive education in Kaupapa Maori and Te Reo. Her recent background has been working extensively with youth at risk.
This free course is aimed at beginners to intermediate. (See advertisement elsewhere in this Chronicle)

We wish to offer the Karamea Community a Weekend Wananga – Intro to Te Reo Maori Language With Adult & Community Education (TEC) funding we are pleased to be able to offer this workshop for: You will have the opportunity to learn Te Reo (correct pronunciation), Pepeha (Introduction/who you are), Waiata & Karakia (Songs/Prayer). FREE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
