Hi Everyone :)
I will just get straight into it!
Where are we at?
Looking back at KSM emails from this time last year it is clear we were right in the middle of building a website.
A few months ago I created a facebook events page for Resonance Karamea 2016 - without any promotion we currently have 214 people indicating they will attend.
Over the last little while I have had several requests to be involved in the event:
Mudwood - http://mudwood.kiwi.nz/
Under the Sun - https://www.facebook.com/UnderTheSunNZ
Eartheogen - https://www.facebook.com/Eartheogen
Redwood Reider - https://www.facebook.com/redwood.reider
Semi Sync - https://www.facebook.com/Semi.Sync
Peoples Coalition - https://www.facebook.com/ThePeoplesCoalition
Robert Koffie Fugah - https://www.facebook.com/rfugah
...to name the ones I can remember of the top of my head.
We have also had a number of people enquiring about having a stall. Please find attached a copy of the network within which Resonance sits, be aware that a few of these connections appear deceptively small. Also there are other connections that are still alive and kicking which I have not included for historical reasons...
The domain name and website hosting have been renewed for another 12 months and I have completed funding reports as required from last years event.
Where to from here?
In the immediate the following four projects will need to be actioned:
1. Gary to make face to face contact with coordinators. This will happen over the next two weeks.
2. Rebuilding of the Resonance Karamea website. We will need to revisit wording, update images, continue development on the logo and situate registration forms on the website itself for improved functionality. I would expect this to be completed by this time next month ready to begin marketing for earnest from the beginning of November.
3. Design of new structures. I have made contact with Jennifer Giller ( www.canopydesign.co.nz ) who is based in Wellington, designs tents and has been active in designing structures at Luminate Festival for a number of years. She is keen to work with us on design and can do the fabrication if needed.
4. Lobby Regional Council to undertake work to mitigate current erosion of the reserve due to wave action.
If any one is keen to be involved in any of the above (and haven't already contacted me) please do not hesitate to get in touch :)
As some of you will be aware Georgia Wilkinson has been successful in obtaining gainful employed as the Buller Youth Coordinator and will be taking up this position with Buller REAP as of Tuesday 29th September. Georgia is keen to catch up with all the crew and has asked about having a get together in the near future... I am guessing with the school holidays people will have plans but shall we look at something on the last weekend of the holidays or first weekend of the new term?
