The Pulse Energy Oparara Wilderness Trail Run is Karamea’s biggest public event which will be held for the third time on Saturday 27th April 2019.
Entries for the 2019 event closed on the 31 March and we are now in the final phases of getting everything ready for race day.
The starting guns will go off at 8.30am on Saturday the 27th April and we are expecting the first 20km competitor to be across the finish line by 10.00am and from 10.30 on there should be a steady stream of competitors coming along Waverley Street.
We invite you all to come down to the domain and join in with the festivities and soak up the atmosphere. There will be music from 9.00am and later on there will be live music.
There will be lots of stall holders selling a variety of goods, including hot food, coffee etc and there will be activities for the children.
Prize giving will be held at approximately 3.30pm once the results have been finalised.
The setting up of the domain will commence on Wednesday the 24th April and we would be most grateful for any help we can get from the community to erect the big marquee. It’s a huge job and many hands make light work, so please, if you can possibly manage to spare us a couple of hours of your time, we would like to see you at the domain by 10.00am.
See you all on race day.
