Pulse Energy Oparara Wilderness Trail Run
Community Update

Welcome to another Karamea Events Trust community update. We hope everyone has had a good festive season and we wish you a Happy New Year.

Thank you to the Karamea locals who have already volunteered to help so far. Your time and willingness is greatly appreciated. However, we are still looking for people to help out with the following:

  • Land SAR person to be stationed at Maloney's Bluff (approx. 40 minutes walk in from the car park). You will need to hold a current First Aid Certificate, be confident and competent using radio communication and fit enough to walk in and out. You will be stationed with two other people.
  • Host/hosts that can accommodate one to two volunteers from out of the district on Friday 20th and possibly Saturday 21st April, (to be confirmed closer to the time of event).

All volunteers will be supplied with a packed lunch for the day and a meal voucher which will entitle you and your family to a BBQ at the Karamea Domain the following day.

If you would like to volunteer, host, or have any queries please contact Lynda Pope, Ph 7826 773, email noel [dot] lyndaatoutlook [dot] co [dot] nz

Also, thank you to DOC who have donated bridges (surplus to their requirements). These have been remodeled and are ready to be put into place across the ditches on Stu Rhinds property.
